What is Anita’s Fund?

In the daily work we perform in the framework of all programmes implemented by the Anita Ogulin and ZPM Association, the need for a fund which can be immediately used to cover the amounts of direct assistance for the payment of living expenses or other expenditures that enable the families to guarantee their most basic survival, avoid enforcement orders, and purchase urgent necessities has long been evident.

Rapid resolution of the most pressing issues is namely extremely important. By resolving the situation immediately, we prevent the distress from escalating further. For this purpose, we have established Anita’s Fund, which provides quick assistance to children and families.

When establishing the fund, Anita Ogulin emphasised that it is crucial to relieve the feeling of insecurity and despair of the people in need of this fund by responding promptly: “It is imperative that people in need of assistance are provided with an immediate sense of security; that they are listened to by a person who understands them, who cares about them as individuals, and who can give them hope that their distress can be resolved, even if it might not seem so at that time and regarding the situation in which they find themselves. Then, of course, we continue to provide them with comprehensive assistance within the framework of the Chain of Good People programme and other support projects for children, young people and families in distress, which we implement in all Slovenian regions.”
