Summer in Kranjska Gora
WHY SHOULD YOU ATTEND OUR CAMP? Evenings spent by the fire, adventures in nature, sounds of the guitar and bathing in lake Jasna – what more could you wish for? A whole bunch of new friends, socialising and fun await! We are already looking forward to new experiences! Our programme strengthens children’s social skills and teamwork.
Holiday home
The “Vila Šumica” holiday home is located in the Triglav National Park, where we will have a lot of time to relax and socialise in nature, form new friendships and acquaintances or further strengthen our previous friendships. For 30 years, we have been offering camps with a rich sports and creative programme for children and adolescents. Each camp experience is carefully prepared by the educators of our “Anita Ogulin and ZPM” Association.
WHAT’S NEW THIS YEAR?
This year, we offer an additional “I’m Alright” camp, to which transport is also organised from Ljubljana.
The special feature of the “Varied English-speaking holidays” are additional English language workshops performed in a relaxed environment.
A special feature of the BOOM holiday is that only children of the third triad of primary school (i.e. teenagers) can apply for a holiday tailored to their interests.
There is also the “I’m Alright” camp, where children can strengthen their self-image and improve their well-being through additional workshops, and learn to cope with possible stressful situations with the techniques that they have learned.
In each time slot, approximately the same programme with sports and creative content for all tastes will be organised. The description of the individual programmes can be found below.
HOW TO GET TO THE CAMP?
Since children from all over Slovenia are attending the “Varied English-speaking holiday” and BOOM holidays, no organised transport will be provided. The parents must bring their child to the “Vila Šumica” holiday home, Vršiška 73, Kranjska Gora, where they will be taken care for by our educators; at the end of the camp, you must also pick your child up. For the “I’m Alright” camp, transport is organised from Ljubljana. In any case, you can also bring your child to this camp by yourself.
ACCOMMODATION
In the land of Kekec, in the Triglav National Park, stands the friendly “Vila Šumica” holiday home. This holiday home has 71 beds. Each room has its own bathroom. We spend a lot of time on the playground, next to the house by the stream, in the dining room, in the multi-purpose space, etc.

DESCRIPTION OF THE CAMPS
Varied English-speaking holidays
A language camp in Kranjska Gora with a rich sports and creative programme. Children will enrich their vocabulary through daily organised sports and creative activities. In the heart of the mountains, surrounded by the calm nature, children will make new friends, have fun, socialise, sing English songs, discover hidden treasures, write letters and so much more.
Learning English with us is a little different – it takes place through conversation, in a relaxed environment. We employ various pedagogical methods that help children supplement and learn English vocabulary: through social games, songs, dances, fun English lessons for the youngest and the like. There is also peer-to-peer learning at the camp all the time, as those who already know more help other children translate their thoughts. Through play, songs, writing and socialising, we will practice and learn more about the English vocabulary, while having so much fun!
Suitable for children from 6 to 14 years of age.

BOOM holidays
BOOM holidays (in addition to the “Young people and Europe) travel programmes) are designed for teenagers who are looking to enjoy socialising, sports, music, sun, dance and new experiences.
Special features of this camp will be longer evenings by the fire, accompanied by the sounds of the guitar, more conversational teenage topics, workshops related to spending time in nature, quality leisure time, sports, a healthy lifestyle etc. In addition to having fun with peers in nature, the programme also promotes independence and growing up, and tests the teenager’s ability to give up the benefits that they are accustomed to at home, which is one of the paths to independence.
The programme includes numerous group adventures:
- teenage creation (bracelets, phone cases, sewing pencil cases etc.),
- survival in nature (setting fire, tracks in nature, picnic on the grass),
- group games (Olympic Games, fun social games, strategy games),
- photography and filmmaking workshops,
- sports games, activities and so much more…
THIS YEAR, WE OFFER AN ADDITIONAL OPTION OF BOOM LJUBLJANA AND BOOM POKLJUKA HOLIDAYS WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF BOOM HOLIDAYS.
